On June 7, 2022 the Sovereign Military Order of Malta reported that the Lieutenant of the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra' Marco Luzzago, has died unexpectedly after a sudden illness. Amb. Avramovic delivered to Fra’ Marco Luzago the Credential Letters at the ceremony in Villa Magistrale only a few months ago, on January 19, 2022.

The solemn funeral of Fra’ Marco Luzzago, was held on June 14, 2022 in the Basilica of Santi Bonifacio e Alessio at the Aventine in Rome, beside Vila Magistrale.
