Belgrade, 4 Dec 2015 – Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met today with Secretary of State of the Holy See for Relations with States Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher about relations between Belgrade and the Vatican, the position of the Catholic community in Serbia, the situation in the region and the migrant crisis.

Vucic conveyed to Archbishop Gallagher gratitude for the principled position of the Holy See regarding the non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija, as well as support in the preservation of Serbian religious and cultural heritage in the province.

Gallagher welcomed Belgrade's constructive role in relations with Kosovo, and voiced support for Serbia's European integration.
